Washington Food and Fun (recipe and event guide)

Each month will contain five food events highlighting Washington foods. There will be three recipes for each event and one photo to show the beauty of the state.

Often visitors submerse themselves into the local foods and cultures that are specific to the area. Washington State is no exception and has managed to work its way into people’s hearts and kitchens.

7-Up Sturgeon

Ingredients:
1-2 cups fresh sturgeon
3 cups 7-Up
Garlic butter

Directions:
Cut white sturgeon filets into 1/2'' to 1'' cubes. Bring 7up to a boil place. Add cubed sturgeon skin off, into 7-Up. When fish floats to the top and turns white, it's ready. Tastes great dipped in melted garlic butter.

I am soooooooo excited

MO WILLIEMS will be at the 2008 SCBWI writer's conference! That is so awesome I can hardly wait to meet or at least see my very favorite children's author. That could mean an autographed copy my book, Leonardo The Terrible Monster. Did I mention I am excited??? MO ROCKS!!!
